I am having a nightmare getting something delivered.

I don't claim to be anyone special but you would expect that after the first missed delivery the courier would indicate in advance when the next delivery would be, and possibly give a more precise time-frame.

OK, OK the last one could be asking for miracles in regards to some couriers, but the little boxes on the card saying MON, TUES, WED, etc. are a clue and could at least be ticked so that I am not on the phone for the next delivery....missed by 10 mins (obviously little boxes are too difficult to tick nowadays.) >O(

The final delivery is missed because, as far as I can tell, the courier can do what ever they like and do not talk to anyone.. so again they tried an earlier delivery but did not tell anyone...

What the f***!

So I needed progress and got the delivery address changed.

This was agreed last Thursday but the package is still in package 'lala land' as, as far as I can tell, the courier has not returned the goods to the Walsh Western to be relabelled despite the re-call order.....

Am I missing something here? I do not want to even imagine what is going on here but
1) they probably don't even care,
2) what else can I do.

Currently waiting for a call back...

I am glad I watched the news though, otherwise I would have thought it a very strange dream ....

Have to admit the shakes are more jerky on the first floor compared to the 7th floor where I previous felt an earthquake....

Inspired by the Audi R8 advert I was thinking about time, as on occasion I am more than aware of the weighty ticking of a clock and of the passing of time.

Although at other times I am almost completely oblivious to the passing of time and certain events make me think ‘oh, yeah… it is that time again’, or something like that.

So, I was trying to think of all the things that make me consciously think about time. My list thus far: -

1) Ticking clock.
2) Series on television – starting/ ending – I don’t tend to follow them but they amuse me.
3) It gets darker/ lighter - going to work/ coming home, wandering up to post a letter.
4) LARP events.
5) Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, etc.
6) British Summer time start/ finish.
7) Broken light bulbs – all except the kitchen are energy saving so they rarely go.
8) Car tax/ MOT/ house insurance/ council tax – all the boring stuff.
9) Mowing the lawn.
10) Visiting a friend I have not done so for a while.
11) Cobwebs.
12) Old flight boarding cards (from business trips) – they seem to randomly pop up, and it is not like I just spread them over the house when I return!


Mmm, I am sure there are more but now I have focussed on them they drifted somewhere else!

Oh, for those who are not in the know... recent evidence* has discovered there was actually a fourth wise man. All four wise men observed the bright light** in the sky and started there quest for the new alleged king of the world to be. However, in passing under the light the undocumented fourth wise man met an awful end when full plate dwarven armour fell from the sky and crushed him.***

As you can imagine this would have been completely scandalous at the time and destroys an otherwise fluffy story, so it was omitted from the records and only three wise men completed their journey.

* Actually, this is fairly lacking but it sounds good so it must be true.
** Rumoured to actually be light from a dimensional hidey-hole... as someone was reading (trying to read) a rune-smithing book!
*** NEW: To be fair there was a rope dangling from the 'light in the sky' and ‘passing through a dangling rope’ became ‘walking under ladders’ over time as, lets face it, ladders are much easier to climb than ladders and why would you pass under a rope! :S

I fancy going to the cinema but am really not that inspired by what is currently on! But things can be deceiving sometimes.
